As a farming family we are appalled at these multiple proposals. This is sheer money making and has no part in a long term energy strategy if indeed there is one. Industrialisation of agricultural land for the next 20 to 40 years shows a complete disregard for food production which is critical, the lives and livelihoods of local people and the rural landscape and environment. We in rural areas have enough to cope with and this could seriously push a lot of people over the edge. Brownfield sites, new builds and massive warehouses should all be utilising solar but NOT rural, agricultural land. Solar is hugely inefficient which begs the question as to why so much money is being poured into these consultations. Something stinks. Make a decent plan for energy and leave our communities intact!
