I feel all 4 proposals should be assessed together due to the impact and industrialisation they will have on our area. Cottam means 3,000 acres of farmland will be lost and 10,000 acres in total. Solar panels on farmland is not the best place for them and we should not be losing food producing land at this rate. 4.5m high solar panels will dominate the landscape over a large area and will be highly visible from Lincoln Cliff road - a true blot on the landscape of a beautiful agricultural area. I don't believe all the parcels of land proposed and their distance from the Grid show land has been selected on merit or suitability but purely on availability. Island Green Power have not engaged fully with locals as only now are we seeing panel height, battery storage issues etc. I believe solar is an inefficient use of land and its role is limited because it provides power intermittently and the least power is when it is most needed. The project is not ethically sound as solar farm apparatus is likely to come from China.
