Solar belongs on the roof tops of every residential and industrial building that can support it. The focus of development should be towards brown sites and roof tops where energy can be fed more directly to the consumer and the national grid than the further disruption to rural areas in building out the further required supporting infrastructure. Greater effort should be focused towards the development of West Burton and similar into a nuclear fission reactor which should make the solar project redundant. While energy is a major national issue so is food security. Releasing agricultural land for solar development is robbing Peter to pay Paul.
