The comparable use of food acreage to kilowatt output is the lowest possible choice available, wasting highly productive food producing farmland. Five wind turbines would produce more than 5,000 acres of panels at a fraction of the cost and disruption. Consideration of solar on any useable land as against rooftops is pure folly. Fifteen years lifespan to the panels equates to tens of thousands of tons of toxic landfill, two or three times through the life of the project.
