The Cottam solar panel project will destroy 3,000 quality agricultural land which we need for our food production. It is utterly inappropriate as it will only supply a small proportion of the power required for the area. It will ruin the natural habitat for wildlife and dominate the landscape. The access roads are not suitable for the heavy traffic required to build the project. The energy storage facility is planned to be located in the field next to my home. This is one of the world’s largest battery energy storage systems. It will have an enormous detrimental effect on my life and I am extremely concerned for my mental and physical health and safety. I am worried about the noise and heavy traffic during the construction process. I am extremely concerned about the ongoing fire, flood and chemical risk to myself, my animals and my property from the storage facility and solar panels. The impact on my health and my wellbeing will be enormous.
