This project will take away a lot of agricultural land for the sake of providing a relatively unreliable source of electricity. Our nation's food security is being abandoned in favour of supposed energy security. Humans need food before power. This project will permanently take food production out of use, never to be replaced. In addition, industrial scale solar panels will be a total blight on relatively flat landscape; despite the ambitions of the developers, the impact will never be mitigated. Finally, the battery banks proposed will present a significant environmental risk; they are prone to bursting into flames. Any attempts to extinguish blazes will result in Fire Brigades washing dangerous chemicals into the water table. … This will have a significant impact on essential agricultural output, favouring energy security over food security. In addition, the development will change forever the character of the countryside of Lincolnshire visually and in terms of amenity.
