The use of best and most versatile agricultural land for PV solar plant is misguided sat best and downright foolish at worst. Food security has been shown to be an issue over the last two years, and local food production is much greener than importing food - and simply off-shoring the carbon emissions. It would make more sense to mandate the fitting of PV solar to all new buildings, industrial and domestic.
