This is only 1 of 4 sites that is being proposed in this are covering approximately 11000 acres in total this will change a primarily rural landscape into a industrialised landscape and as such should be considered as 1 project. The local infrastructure will not be able to support a project of this scale. The mental health of local residents in the rural locations/small villages will be severely impacted by the proposed construction works and the completed project which will decimate the rural landscape no consideration has being given to this in the submission. The proposal includes large scale energy storage in the form of battery storage which will be the largest ever developed in the world and has inadequate regulations with regard to safety. Where used on other sites have a history of combustion giving off toxic fumes which is a risk to life and property this has been inadequately addressed in the submission. The areas proposed is productive agricultural land used for food production and to take this out of use is folly as our local MP stated at a time when food security is paramount. Brown field sites do not seem to have been considered as required by Government policy. The proposal fails to demonstrate how the bio diversity of the area will be maintained during the construction period and when the project is completed. The visual impact will be devastating and the proposed screening is inadequate and will take up to 20 years to develop.
