This application - especially when viewed alongside the other three similar large projects close-by - represents an abuse of the planning system to generate huge profits from the green energy boom. The solar energy to be produced in such vast quantities is generated at times when it can't usefully be used. Battery technology is not viable to 'store' the power, rendering the scheme very limited. The loss of agricultural farm land and the amenity of the lovely Lincolnshire countryside is simply not offset by the limited efficacy of solar power on such a scale. Furthermore, the huge cost of the hardware which is made in China is not good for the UK, and we should not be tacitly condoning the slave labour practices in use. For so many, many reasons this project is an abomination and ultimately of little value towards 'net zero'.
