I oppose this project. This is one of several huge potential solar installations in a 6 mile radius. This project will ruin several thousand acres of productive arable land for many years. It is too close to existing settlements and will destroy the natural landscape. The use of land for rural recreation will be reduced or removed. There will be significant local infrastructure disruption. None of these downsides are compensated for by positives for the area. There is significant risk of damage and fire by the proposed associated battery storage facility. It is unfair and detrimental to place this amount of overt INDUSTRIALISATION of the rural area in one locality and remove the ability of local planning departments to consider it.
