I'm not opposed to renewable energy but this development is far too big for the area. This has nothing but a negative impact considering the size and scale. The environmental impact that would be felt not only on Bishopton but redmarshall, carlton and other surrounding villages far outweighs any further renewable energy and impact on the residents. Within this area there are many species of butterfly, bats , owls , birds of prey and other wildlife. Developers have claimed to allow chickens to graze within the solar farm is maintained the agricultural use of this land. This does not justify the size and scale of this project and what was green will be green no more. There is no shortage of former industrial land within England other areas and alternatives to using up green land must be considered.
