Prime agricultural land should not be used for solar panel farms in an effort to achieve net zero carbon emissions. The government have even been quoted saying thus. Farming land is needed to provide food for the people of the uk. Other schemes should be more closely examined for their carbon cutting credentials (electric vehicles) rather than covering huge swathes of the countryside in this area with metal and plastic, rather than crops and grass.
