I totally object to Byers Gill Solar Farm We are already over run by solar farms in the area & South East County Durham is overwhelmed by them The proposed development will turn Bishopton into an industrial solar estate and we are supposed to be a conservation area. The Byers Gill solar farm is taking up good arable land which is against the government proposals to be self sufficient for food. If a Lithium-Ion battery explodes, it will bring devastation to the area It is too close to the school-children are our future and should be protected I love walking along the lanes, listening to the birds & seeing the wildlife. This will be destroyed & the proposed biodiversity plans completely ill thought out & useless. There has been no relevant consultation from JBM re the Byers Gill Site & at the one viewing at the village Hall I was told that whatever I said wouldn't be used as the plans would go through anyway. This strikes me as bullying There is not enough sun in this area and the proposed height of the panels will not be adequately screened from view My [REDACTED] worry about the future of Bishopton and our every day lives
