This is an area of agricultural and natural habitats and the proposed solar farm of 2600 acres will have a devastating effect on the environment and the local residents. There is a site of SNCI which has an abundance of wildlife and insects. Spring fed ponds which are home to thousands of fish: Rudd, Perch and a habitat for many newts including the great crested newts, frogs and water voles. The area is also home to swallows in summer, herons, coots, moorhens, geese, swans, a variety of ducks, buzzards, bats and barn owls. Other animals living in the area include roe deer, foxes, badgers, hares and rabbits. In the fields are nesting pheasants, curlews and skylarks and even otters. To create this solar farm would devastate the wildlife which has been here for centuries and create huge damage and impact on the whole area. Concerns need to be raised about the noise and continuous amount of traffic - 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm. A substantial sized substation will be in full view of Carr House farm and the noise it emits will have a detrimental effect on the occupants and the lives of the dogs and puppies. I strongly object to such an invasive development in an area of SNCI.
