I object to the proposed development as it will change the character of the area around Bishopton, where I live. Currently I can take exercise by walking and cycling along country lanes that are lined by wildlife filled hedges with views over green fields full of crops or grazing sheep or cows. The soundtrack is of birdsong. It is a pleasant experience that encourages me to get out there. If the planned development goes ahead, many of my walking and cycling routes will be lined by security fencing and enclosed by black solar panels angled high above any hedge line, blocking even the far-off Cleveland Hills from view. As a result, I will be far less likely to take such [REDACTED]. That is assuming I have not been already knocked over during the development stage by the numerous lorries that will be using the local lanes to access the development sites. In addition, I object on the grounds of the impact it will have on the village playground. It has taken twenty years to secure the land and funding to build it at the edge of the village, where its idyllic location offers fine views across green fields, attractive to both children and their carers. The proposed development will cover that view with solar panels that will extend right up to the playground fence. It will no longer be an attractive facility for the children of the village to use. During the development stage, with the road through the village being dug up and used by construction traffic, even getting to the playground will be a challenge and potentially hazardous.
