I object vehemently to the proposed Byers Gill Solar development, which threatens the quality of life and well-being of residents in Bishopton, Carlton, Redmarshall, Whitton, Stillington, Sadberge, Great Stainton, and Little Stainton villages. The industrialization of our rural landscape by RWE is met with strong opposition and concern from affected communities. Despite our efforts to voice objections through Darlington Borough Council, RWE's lack of consultation and refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue is deeply troubling. Additionally, the company's dismissal of cumulative effects and disregard for community well-being undermines the democratic process. I urge the Planning Inspectorate to reject this project to protect the interests and welfare of our communities.
