I Strongly object to Byers Gill solar farm, the loss of agricultural land especially as the uk farming industry is struggling so much due to weather conditions and already so many government restrictions on farmers. Do we really have enough sun to even benefit from panels?. Latest news articles to not cut your grass or hedges in may to protect wildlife birds and insects, yet this solar panel farm will destroy this on a massive scale. Solar panels have been known to set on fire and like electric cars cannot be put out with water. They have to be left to dye of causing smoke and pollution to surrounding people and environment. The security fencing surrounding these solar farms will block natural pathways for wildlife!! When pushing forward with a project like this the local populations opinion should be at the forefront. They are hideous to look at that is a major issue as well.
