I vehemently oppose the proposed Byers Gill Solar development, which poses a grave threat to the daily lives and well-being of residents in Bishopton, Carlton, Redmarshall, Whitton, Stillington, Sadberge, Great Stainton, and Little Stainton villages. The transformation of our rural landscape into an industrial power generation site by RWE is met with strong objection and concern from affected communities. Despite numerous objections submitted via Darlington Borough Council, RWE's refusal to engage in meaningful consultation and address cumulative effects is deeply troubling. Furthermore, the company's dismissive attitude towards community concerns undermines the democratic decision-making process. It is imperative that the Planning Inspectorate rejects this project to uphold the interests and welfare of our communities.
