I protest the building of this site, my in laws stay in a local village and the home will soon fall to my future wife and then my child. This is a lovely village to grow old in, how long will that last when this solar farm is built? How many years of industrial vehicles will be delivering industrial equipment using industrial fuel to build this solar farm? How long will local residents need to put up with having a once open green land be transformed into a busy, noisy building site. How long will kids play areas be plagues with chemicals leaking in from leaking batteries and cracked solar panels. Local residents will not get any benefits but will bear all the cost. Reduced interest in people looking at moving to the area. Reduced value in property prices, homes that once had a lovely view of open fields will now be looking at high fences, sounds of birds and nature will be replaced by the constant hum of electricity. surely there is a better place this can be built. There is plenty open land down the M6, that will be easier for huge trucks to get to, without posing a danger to local residents. I worry for my children's future, the world is already an uncertain place and reducing the ability of our country to grow it's own food to build a solar farm in the north of England is misguided. There are plenty of already industrialised areas in England that are in disrepair, have no historic towns and villages nearby, that would be much more suitable. local residents need to be heavily compensated if this goes ahead, if the value of any property goes down in value or land becomes toxic then you will most likely face further delays due to court proceedings. If you want to be green, don't destroy green lands.
