I register my objection to the proposed Byers Gill Solar development, which threatens to detrimentally affect the daily lives and well-being of residents in Bishopton, Carlton, Redmarshall, Whitton, Stillington, Sadberge, Great Stainton, and Little Stainton villages. The conversion of our rural landscape into an industrial power generation site by RWE is met with widespread opposition and concern from affected communities. Despite submitting detailed objections via Darlington Borough Council, RWE's lack of consultation and refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue is unacceptable. Additionally, the company's dismissal of cumulative effects demonstrates a blatant disregard for community well-being and democratic principles. I urge the Planning Inspectorate to reject this project to protect the interests and quality of life of our communities.
