I completely disagree with the idea of this solar power station as I think it is totally unsuitable for the area and also taking into account that the inefficiency of solar farms compared to other renewable energy sources like offshore wind. It's estimated that a solar farm is 11% efficient when compared to it’s installed stated capacity. The North East of England is not renowned for bright sunny days and solar panels cannot produce electricity in the dark winter nights when demand is highest.
