When we have visited our daughter at Great Stainton there have been several occasions when the roads have been flooded and impassible meaning that we have had to turn around and find an alternative route. The instances of the roads flooding is getting more frequent every year and this trend is likely to continue based on projected weather patterns. Having reviewed the documents in the application we would like to register our objection on the basis that Byers Gill is likely to worsen the situation with flooding as vast areas of panels will prevent the soli absorbing the rain fall at the same rate if it was open agricultural land. Likewise with all the other solar farms in the area totalling some 2500 acres it will the add to the cumulative effect that will worsen the current flooding situation. From the project documents that we have reviewed we there does not appear to be any suitable or sufficient measures proposed in the design to mitigate the impact Byers Gill will have on flooding for the the proposed life of the scheme.
