I strongly oppose the Solar Farm proposed by RWE, specifically at Byers Gill. Despite my support for green energy and the necessity to transition away from fossil fuels, I feel this is not a suitabel location due to the close proximity to residential homes. The development, will result in an excessive coverage of the area with industrial infrastructure. Residents will not only have to contend with the visual impact within the village but also face compounded effects while travelling in other directions. The land earmarked for the project is valuable agricultural land, contrary to the company's assertion that it is of poor quality. Local farmers, independent of the proposal, have expressed concerns regarding the use of this land for the development as it has been proven over decades to be highly productive land.
