I strongly object to the Byers Gill Solar Farm Project for the following reasons: 1] The use of good agricultural land for this project can in no way be justified. This land needs to be protected for food production. If the land is used for this project, and when the useful life of the Solar Farm comes to an end, it will become a brownfield site. Therefore it will no longer be able to be used as agricultural land. 2] Too close to residential properties and a primary school in the rural location of Bishopton village. 3] The planned grazing of animals on this land won't happen as the land that is available will not support the necessary grasses required for grazing. 4] The planned size of the Solar Farm is too large in a small rural area. I am a regular visitor to Bishopton Village and would find it upsetting to see this rural area being turned into an industrial landscape. .
