Our house is a 16th century Grade 2* building and of special historic importance It is directly under the flight path and suffers enormously from noise and air pollution already The expansion plans will almost double this problem, increasing capacity from 18 to 32 million passengers. The possibility of increased night flights is inevitable We need to retire, sell our house and downsize in the next 2 years, this has always been our plan These expansion plans are having the effect of making a sale impossible at worst, or significantly reducing the value of the property at best. We have sought professional advice on these matters and our opinions have been comfirmed and quantified
