London Luton Airport Expansion

The expansion of Luton airport will have a detrimental impact on the lives of people living in the area. There will be an increase in traffic, not only passengers but freight. The air quality will be damaged due to the extra traffic as well as the increase in planes flying in and out affecting pollution levels. The current green space which is widely used by the community is due to be taken over by the proposed expansion removing this facility for local people. The noise levels will be drastically increased causing distress to some residents. The proposal is not backed by the local Councillors and is being driven by people not living in the area so will not be impacted by this expansion.
