The town cannot cope with existing traffic going to and from airport let alone an increase. The noise from the aircraft is unacceptable for people living under the flight path. To increase numbers of planes some of which would be at night having an impact on the lives of a large number of people in the town. The air quality for the people in the town is also impacted from that of the planes and the traffic. I don’t think the airport should be expanded. It is a poor investment at a time when we should be reducing air travel to tackle climate change. The investments suggested to make the airport ground side net zero are good but should be happening anyway.
