I object to this planning proposal. Luton does not need a bigger airport there are plenty of nearby options. The increased traffic, noise and pollution cannot be magically made to disappear. The local infrastructure has not been maintained for years and no amount of wasted money will make it capable of managing the increase this application will cause. In a world where we are trying to be green this project is completely the opposite and no amount of trees planted “somewhere” miles away will offset the carbon footprint in fact Luton council just ignore the airport pollution when it comes to their carbon neutral goals. Established parks and green areas will need to be destroyed to allow this expansion to happen and so this should be rejected in its entirety. Don’t get me started on the lost millions the councils have ploughed into this failed scheme already which could have been better spent on a town that badly needs regeneration.
