Substantial increase in noise light and air pollution. Substantial increase in airport related traffic using local residential thoroughfares. Destruction of mature greenfield site used by thousands of local and adjacent residents for leisure. Funds that are much needed for local residents being used for the development of the airport. The relationship between the local council and the airport does not seem to be a healthy combination.
