This proposed development will vastly increase the traffic flow and create much longer travel times through the number of traffic lights being proposed. As someone who mostly walks to local shops, I will encounter a four-lane road instead one of single lanes and envisage more dangers for pedestrians - especially the young and elderly. This will discourage people in walking and lead to even more motorized traffic - at odds with the commitment of HMG and health authorities The loss of a nearby park will mean that there will be less opportunity for recreation for local residents which means there will be a lower level of well-being among those in the area. The increase in passengers means a greater increase in flights and more CO2 and is totally at odds with HMG's commitment to reduce CO2 by its target date. The inability to address climate change will endanger millions of people and eventually threaten the survival of the human race.
