I am fundamentally opposed to expanding Luton Airport in any way, shape or form. There are two main reasons for this.  Once expansion has been completed there will be more flights. For those that live under the flight path it will mean a reduction in the quality of life. This will be particularly applicable during the summer months, when windows need to be open and flight numbers are at their highest. However the main reason is the impact on Climate Change. We need to be reducing the number of flights, not increasing the number. If there is any hope in keeping to the legally binding reduction in CO² emissions, set by Government, the expansion should not be sanctioned. The quality of life, in the short term due to noise impact, and the long term due to climate chaos, must not be reduced.
