I have lived in the area (under the landing flight path) for 36 years now. Although there is noise from the planes, which I accept as the airport was here before i moved here it is intrusive especially when when windows are open. It is impossible to hear people talk as the planes are so low. If the number of passengers is doubled, which logically means the number of flights is doubled then this will cause a massive increase in the noise blight and affect our lives and the lives of thousands of others. Based on other local projects such as the rail link the construction will go on for years and will over run which again will affect many people's lives. After the expansion there will be a massive increase in traffic delivering passengers to the airport. All in all this plan will disrupt the lives of thousands of people in the area for years to come.
