I have lived in the area (under the landing flight path) for 36 years now. There is noise from the planes which I accept. Even now when windows are open we have to stop talking etc. I knew this when moving here. If the number of passengers is doubled, which logically means the number of flights is doubled then this will cause a massive increase in the noise blight and affect our lives. There will also be massive disruption while the work is going on, and based on the construction of the rail link, will go on for years as the project is almost certain to over run. After the expansion there will be a massive increase in traffic delivering passengers to the airport. All in all this plan will disrupt the lives of thousands of people in the area.
