My main concerns about this proposed project are with regards to negative impacts to local people and surrounding communities associated with a projected 60% increase in flights per year. For example; Increased noise and traffic pollution and associated negative impact on health and wellbeing. Schools under the flight path already struggle with the dreadful levels of noise pollution throughout the day. Many of the increased flights appear projected to be at night and in early mornings which will particularly impact quality of sleep for those directly under the flight path but also in surrounding areas. Furthermore with a projected additional 40,000 passenger journeys each day the concomitant rise in traffic on road and rail cannot fail to impact the town and local people in terms of ease of movement Environmental damage to Wigmore Park with loss of valuable habitat ie wild orchids, ancient hedgerow and mature trees. Loss of access to a much loved open space and nature for local communities with insufficient mitigation Air pollution due both to increased flights and cars and associated negative health impacts to local communities
