Current noise levels are unbearable and the worst I have ever known having lived under the inbound flight path since birth. The airport has visibly lowered the flight altitude of arriving aircraft, and when passing over my parents property in Caddington the close proximity to the aircraft exposes them to horrendous noise, regularly hitting 60dB throughout the night. For the first time in my life I am now being woken by the aircraft noise and having to sleep with my windows closed - this will not be possible later in the summer when nighttime temperatures rise, and I am facing a summer of sleepless nights and severe detriment to my health as a result. The airport have never once reacted to residents complaints about noisy aircraft, and no longer even bother to reply. Flight paths have been constantly lowered, noise levels have increased as larger are more frequent flights arrive, with no consideration given at any time to the health and wellbeing of impacted communities - as long as Luton Council can make a few more quid off the airport, everyone else be damned.
