We apparently are in the midst of a climate emergency. So this project has a negative impact in many ways on our town (& my family's & my life). The smell of jet fuel that wafts from the current passengers levels at our airport - despite us being nearly 2km away are overpowering. The road structure we have is lined with mature trees, hedgerows & wildlife. The plans to concrete this again, nonsensical in an environment emergency. The roads I use to travel would become direct routes to the planned second terminal. These roads, cut through residential areas. Schools on them. Worrying me for the children at school start / leaving times. The heavy traffic presumed would again cause undue pollution. The current trees, buffering the noises & absorbing this co2 produced are planned to be destroyed in the build. So our noise buffering gone too. I'd like to see the flights that leave our airport currently doing so full. I do not believe they are. So expanding, a new terminal, destroying such green spaces we have in the thought of almost doubling the airseats provided is deemed unacceptable to me, to the environment & my family.
