I represent the views of more than 400 households in Wheathampstead, who are members of our society. Our lives are already blighted by the noise from Luton Airport (although we accept not as badly as those that live closer to the airport). We chose to live in a rural, peaceful community, and that is ruined by aircraft noise, and pollution. We see there is NO case for increasing passenger numbers with the current concerns so many share about climate change. At the very least, any airport expansion should be delayed until the airspace review is completed and implemented - assuming this solves the problem of low flying aircraft over the local villages.
