I object for the following reasons: My back garden faces Wigmore Lane, as I live opposite ASDA. Under this proposal this section of Wigmore Lane will be expanded to four lanes. This will mean peak road traffic will pass closer to my home from around 3am to 6am for the first wave of departures and then continue all day and most of the night. I will also live between two sets of traffic lights around 100 metres away. This will mean I will be subject to queuing traffic in two directions at all hours of the day and night. As Wigmore is a residential area it is unacceptable that I should be subjected to airport related traffic heading to a second terminal just because Luton Rising doesn’t wish to provide a bypass. This traffic will pass two schools. The proposed Eaton Green Link Road onto Wigmore Park for airport access is a breach of the Luton Local Plan that prohibits this road for most road users. I am disturbed by aircraft noise and the smell of kerosene particularly in the summer months when I like to have by windows open. This will get worse. An expanded Wigmore Park will be too far for me to walk to. If the airport is expanded then the existing residents parking scheme to protect residents from airport street parking will no doubt be extended due to the breach of the Luton Local Plan. This will mean I will have to pay to park outside my own home for a problem caused by the airport, as Luton Rising has refused to pay for another area that has been affected by airport parking. I believe that if these plans are approve then it will affect my health and well-being.
