Destruction of many important local green spaces, negative impact on environment, biodiversity, health levels, reduction of amusement and play areas. Luton is already recognised as having less than adequate green spaces, and this will worsen this situation. Neighbourhoods are currently local traffic only, not main A roads, they do not have the space to accommodate them, and will not be able to cope with increased national traffic. Housing will also be suddenly right next to main roads, affected by the noise and pollution which don't occur now at the same level. The neighbourhood will also not cope with the construction traffic, noise and pollution, which will take years. The local infrastructure is not ready for this enormous project. Lives of all locals will be negatively affected by the construction issues, and by bringing increased traffic through our streets
