Luton expansion proposal justification centres on outdated estimated growth in flight requirement figures and does not reflect the current UK and world situation. Any increase in UK flights will only add to pollution levels and potentially exacerbate global warming - all for the sake of estimated short term business profit. The increase of flying at low levels over residential areas, particularly at night will lead to broken sleep patterns, and a general decline in the health of the affected pollution, virtually none of whom will benefit from the supposed economic advantage that a larger passenger through-put at Luton airport.
