The plans for airport expansion include expanding residential roads and adding ten sets of traffic lights along a road that includes shops, a primary school and a large supermarket this is also a residential road. The proposed destruction of a green flag park (Wigmore Valley Park) which would become part of the airport, this is a much used and loved park within east Luton, we already suffer from a lack of green spaces within Luton especially in this area. Air pollution will double, - throughout lockdown due to covid the air was visibly clearer and fresher. I do use the airport for holidays and there is plenty of options for flights/countries to travel to, the infrastructure in Luton cannot cope with airport expansion. I therefore think it should not be granted permission to expand.
