Noise pollution from Luton airport is already severe in Caddington. With more and more flights coming in at unsociable hours while people are trying to sleep. Flights during the day are continuous and extremely loud. Children in my house are constantly woken up during the night due to flights coming in, especially during the summer months when windows need to be open. There is also an issue with planes putting their engines back on to go back up, this happens over the house and results in shaking the entire house and waking everyone up in shock because of the extreme noise. This has got exceptionally worse and happens now more than once a week when it used to be extremely rare, this can only be due to the increasing number of flights coming over the village. Caddington’s roads are also very busy and we have people parking in the village to go to the airport, blocking roads and parking spaces which are already very limited. With an expansion these problems will only get worse.
