I am against the proposal mainly due to the impact in terms of noise and congestion on the current infrastructure, including the local roads and the rail network. The local roads are already congested and the railways at peak times are absolutely rammed. The massive additional capacity proposed does not appear to address these key issues. Plus the increase in the air polution levels will be significant in an area which houses a large number of older people - evidenced by the number of "care homes" in the area and new ones being built - and also young children, whose health could be negatively impacted through this size of expansion.
