I strongly disagree with the proposed expansion of Luton Airport. I have lived in the village for over 30 years and the increase in the frequency of disturbance of noise particularly at unsociable hours continues to grow even at the current level of operation. An increase of flights by 80% will make this intolerable and will have a big impact on the health and well being of all those having to live with this on a daily basis. The increased noise, frequency and the effect it will have on the road infrastructure will have an impact for many miles across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and the negative environmental impact it will have cannot be overstated. At a time when the government is supposedly looking to decrease our carbon footprint to reduce global warming I cannot understand why the local authority are in favour of this expansion. I cannot see any rationale for this proposal and therefore ask you to decline this proposal for the expansion of Luton Airport
