This expansion is already interrupting our sleep and this effects our work and health. The aircraft noise carries on late at night, early hours and throughout the day. Providing home insulation wouldn't be sufficient for reducing the noise, especially as our home is older (built 1875), making it even less suitable for withstanding noise pollution. If the expansion were to occur, noise pollution would increase for our property and garden, along with the other residents in the village we are located in. Additionally, it would potentially reduce the value of our house, lowering the chances of selling it in the future. As a final point, the village would be affected by increased traffic travelling to and from the airport, it could cause damage to the surroundings with the increased number of larger vehicles (especially those relating to construction of the additional infrastructure for the airport expansion) passing through and around the area.
