The proposed expansion is directly at odds with the UKGov Climate Emergency declaration; It will make it impossible for the UK Gov to meet the legal requirement of net zero by 2050; The surrounding surface transport infrastructure cannot support the increased traffic volumes; Local residents are almost unanimously against this expansion; There is no such thing as "green aviation";
