I OBJECT 1. The process is made so utterly complicated and complex it has taken me ages to get to this point. It is in my opinion made this way to pit people off from sharing their views. Anyone without technology or good use of English would have given up weeks ago. The letter is practically incomprehensible and is not understood. This can be clearly seen in numerous comments locally on Facebook etc. This alone demonstrates a process that is unfair, unjust and an unreasonable expectation to normal lay people (ie local residents) who are outside of this process. 2. The noise levels now are high in day time hours. We have to stop conversations sat in our gardens as planes are so noisy and you cannot speak even on a 1:1 with someone else . This is at today's levels so thinking of doubling this would be unbearable and we could not converse in our gardens at all. 3. Noise at night is already very high. Planes go through the night which are extremely noisy and can wake you up or keep you awake. There are additional really loud thunderous sounds which I do not know what is causing this type of mechanical / engine noise from aircraft. To increase this would affect sleep, wellbeing and mental health levels. 4. We are not permitted by law to trim oak trees as they have preservation orders applied. How can this project ignore that cutting does trees. vegetation and hedges. This also detrimentally affects wildlife and insects. 5. Traffic already cannot cope in accessing the airport in season. There are traffic jams and it can take ages to try to get to the airport. The traffic infrastructure is not fit for purpose now so how can doubling capacity help? The DART does not help at all. What about commuters trying to get to work on the Thameslink line? Further traffic and road works will be an utter nightmare which cannot be permitted - either in preparations, during build and post. It doesn't bare thinking about.
