Nothing about this expansion is well thought out or actually beneficial to the area. The roads, as they are now, or with another lane added, can't support the traffic we'd get with an additional terminal. A piece of park would be destroyed and displace local wildlife. The air pollution ratings were taken as far away from its source as legally possible and are not reflective of the additional pollution people in the area would suffer from. An EasyJet employee told us that there are no plans to extend the baggage handling facilities for this expansion, and they are stretched as it is, so the airport couldn't even handle more passengers, let alone the number they expect for a whole terminal. What about environmental standards we should reach? This goes against everything planned for the country. Plus with Brexit and the Cost of Living crisis you will have fewer people leaving the country by plane AND fewer people visiting here, so what do they even need another terminal for? London has enough airports.
