The main issues are the affects of the expansion on the quality of life over the three counties. The impact of the increase in aircraft will impact; wildlife, sleep of local residents, destruction of Wigmore Park, congestion on already busy roads. There will be congestion at Luton Parkway as passengers move from the train station to the DART. I object the paving over of Wigmore Park nature reserve to provide car parks and the second terminal, we need wildlife and the ecosystem it supports for farming and homes for pollinators. The roads around Luton Parkway and the entrance to the airport are already busy, further congestion will lead to poor air quality and quality of life for local residents. The reliance of the airport for financial support is a risk - they need to diversify their income.
