I am writing to voice my strong objection to the proposed Luton airport extension. While I understand the potential economic benefits, the negative impact on the environment and our daily lives simply cannot be ignored. As it stands, the airport does not significantly harm our local environment and road system. However, this new extension is set to bring devastating consequences. With larger planes and increased air traffic, we will see a significant escalation in noise and air pollution. This is unacceptable, as it will undoubtedly harm the health and well-being of those who live nearby. Additionally, the increase in road travel will have a damaging effect on our already congested road system. With frequent motorway standstills, the surrounding towns and villages will bear the brunt of this disruption. This kind of chaos will undoubtedly affect people's daily lives and could even lead to missed appointments, lost income, and lower quality of life. We must protect our community and the environment from the harmful effects that come with air and noise pollution. Instead, let's work towards a more sustainable future that puts the well-being of our citizens first. Thank you for taking the time to consider this important matter. Yours Sincerely, Elizabeth Merchant
